Ok Ive had this site up for a couple of years now and I haven't posted on the blog page. Time for the first post. And remember you can always follow us on Instagram or Facebook. 

Things are starting to quiet down a little on the farm. October marks the end of my least favorite season: goatheading season. If your not familiar with goatheads they are a brutal little thorn seed that left  un-accosted will quickly take over the farm. A typical goathead scenario is waking up in the middle of the night to use the bath room and suddenly getting a thorn impaled in your bare foot. This year thanks to lots of friends we eradicated all but a couple of areas of the farm. Now the fight is over until next year and I can focus on other things like harvesting the garden and canning produce and fruit for use this winter when we don't have the luxury of walking out to the garden for dinner.
